Iowa Indian Associations

Iowa has several Indian community and student associations.

Every Indian community, be it Tamils, Telugus, Malayalees, or Gujaratis, has its own association.

Besides language based associations, there are organizations representing the interests of students at University of Iowa and Iowa State University as well.

Iowa Indian associations are active and often organize events to celebrate prominent Indian events and festivals like Indian Independence Day, Republic Day and Ganesh Chaturthi, Dasara, Diwali, Sankranti, Ugadi and Vishu that bond the community.

Most of these events include cultural programs like Music concerts, Bhangra, Bollywood dance and food counters serving Mysore Masala Dosa, Idly, Dokhla, Samosa, Dum Biryani etc.
